NEW YORK—In a stunning reversal of their long-stated reluctance to take it, members of heavy-metal band Twisted Sister announced Monday that, after 24 years of fervent refusal, they are now willing to take it. “I acknowledge that we promised not to take it anymore, but things change. The world is a different place today, and with that in mind, we would like to go on record as saying that, starting right now, we are going to take it,” read a statement released by the band’s lead singer, Dee Snider. “To clarify, we would still prefer not to take it, but as of now, taking it is an option that we would be open to. That is all.” Bassist Mark “the Animal” Mendoza also stated that, in regards to what he wants to do with his life, he no longer solely wants to rock, but would instead prefer doing other things, such as raising a family and working as a claims adjuster in Rye, NY.
No, not the market tanking again. That’s old news. Big news if you haven’t heard! You can see the AP report here!
I think this was cut from the movie 8 Mile…
This is a silly video but it’s pretty funny. How many things in this video do you recognize?

On my way in to work, all I heard was 80’s and 90’s rock/metal. It was awesome but I don’t think I could’ve listened for another five minutes. This made me think of our next party and what kind of theme it should have. It’d be fun to have a rockstar party where everyone dresses up in rockstar attire. Then again Halloween is coming up and I wouldn’t exactly need a theme. I still need to come up with a costume for that. If we do have a Halloween party, everyone is required to wear a costume! Showing up to a theme/Halloween party without a costume is lame and unacceptable. These are my two best attempts at costumes.
Don’t show up like Oscar De La Hoya. Does anyone have any ideas for parties or costumes?
“Come out and dance, sing and enjoy an evening in Washington, DC. Thursday, September 6 hip-hop superstar MC Hammer brings his distinct style to DC Grooves with his hits Too Legit to Quit, Pray and U Can’t Touch This.”
ZOMG!! Who wants to go downtown with me to see MC HAMMER?!?! I thought he might be doing this for some cash but it seems as though he has some projects in the works. So seriously, who is going? It’s free after all.

Looks like G Love and Special Sauce is coming to Wolf Trap this Saturday. I recently found out that you can bring whatever food and drink you want inside. As long as it doesn’t rain, I can’t see this being a bad night.
BREAKING NEWS from AREYOUWEARINGAWIRE? It looks like Hey Mercedes is set to play two shows this September. They never responded to my request to play my wedding, but this is good news. Maybe there’s hope that they’ll get back together. I’m smelling another trip to see HM.
